Abbotsford
Abbotsford, British Columbia:
Where the heck is Abbotsford, you may ask; It is about 1.5 hours eastbound on hwy 1, from downtown Vancouver. I think about 120,000 people live here (if I leave it will be 119,999, I guess). But it is a nice, peaceful, boring, beautiful, nothing much happening city in the country where malls close at 5:30pm on weekdays and beer stores are closed on Sundays.
Abbotsford is a bordertown, with the US border a mere stone throw away. Abbotsford is also the Berry capitol of Canada, yeh!
I have been living in Abbotsford, BC, since July 2011, working from home. Not the greatest option, WFH is a b****; being alone in the apartment all day staring at the computer, not seeing a human face, except on a web page. A bad judgement on my part. Enough complaining!
On the bright side the weather is milder in Abbotsford, and I get to see the magnificent Mt. Baker from almost any where in town. I love mountains and I never get tired of seeing them.
Recently I was in Nepal, and got to photograph the mother of all mountains, Mt. Everest, and was eletated at that opportunity. You could say that I am crazy about all mountains, tall, short, fat or slim. But I don't like hills, who try to pass as mountains.
